The door will release and you can pull to open.
Tesla handles presenting but driver door not unlocking.
On my car when the car is locked passive entry is enabled i must touch a front door handle either one to get all handles to present.
Touching a rear door handle does not do anything.
Once presented you simply pull on the handle in a similar fashion to other vehicle handles.
Rear passenger door not presenting about 80 of the time.
Temporary solution before replac.
The door would just unlock so that pressing the handle would open the door.
If your door handles were auto presenting then this option is likely turned on but you should double check it anyway.
Can hear motor in door handle so probably broken.
Tesla handles are distinctive not just because they recess into the door but how they unlatch and how you open the door.
However the latest tesla firmware build for 6 1 allows the driver to push down on the p button located on the driving stalk which will in turn unlock the vehicle and present the door handles.
If late enough could open the driver s window with tesla ap no such luck.
Nothing worked from outside pressing on the handle key fob unlock button on screen etc.
Model s offers a setting within the car that allows you to specify which handles present upon unlocking.

When i change the setting of door unlock mode driver i can press the driver handle and only the drive handle presents however with this setting when i press on the passenger handle all door handles presents.
A quick fix to known problem of the tesla model s door handles not presenting requiring adhesive tape and two plastic cards.
