Hi dan got a 2017 pathfinder battery light cane on car stop moving.
System voltage low car.
That should be easy to figure out if in fact that is the problem.
The purpose of the charging system is to maintain an ideal vehicle voltage level which is usually 14 1 14 4 volts dc when the vehicle is idling with the lights off.
Sounds like you may have some other issues here.
If the computer regulates voltage output in the system check there too.
Perhaps you have seen one of these messages or notifications.
A vehicle s charging system works to maintain a normal vehicle voltage level usually in the range of 14 1 to 14 4 volts dc at idle with headlights turned off.
The pcm can control the charging system by controlling a power or a ground circuit to the voltage regulator inside the alternator.
You should connect the voltmeter to the battery as before but not the charging voltage and this should be done after charging the battery or jump starting the car.
Normally the small battery on the motherboard does not run low for several years but because there are so many reports of this problem on new systems it sounds like mayber dell got a batch of bad batterys.
There could be a pending code.
Check car battery charging voltage.
If your system is continuously losing its date and time settings then there is a good chance that something is wrong with its cmos chip or the cmos battery in use.
Alert system battery voltage is low many people have been reporting this recently on new machines.
P0562 description the battery supplies electricity to the engine control module even when the ignition switch is off this electricity allows the ecm to store data such as diagnostic trouble code dtc history freeze frame data fuel trim values and other data.
If for any reason the pcm detects that the vehicle voltage level is too low the p0562 code will be set and the mil malfunction indicator light or check engine light will illuminate.
If the battery voltage falls below a minimum level the ecm will conclude that there is a fault in the power supply circuit.
This is strictly an electrical issue.
P0562 is stored when the engine control unit detects a low voltage in the electrical system.
When the engine is turned off there should be 12 volts in the system and when the engine is running the alternator should charge the car with 13 5 14 3 volts.
Normally modern cars use a 12 volt system.
13 5 to 14 5 or more volts at idle should be produced by a charging system that operates normally.
There could be a problem in the charging system.
A low voltage issue would be caused by the alternator not charging or a problem with the battery.
Try checking for trouble codes even if the check engine light is not on.
Obd ii code p0562 is defined as a system voltage low.
If the voltage is too low a fault code will be set.
